Montego Bay over the years has become one of the most visited areas in Jamaica. Also called "Mo' Bay," Montego Bay has much to offer to those visiting, from a hike up one of the low mountains looming over the city to a simply fabulous shopping adventure, the possibilities are endless here.
Beautiful Beaches, Rivers, & Waterfalls
Jamaica is one of the largest islands in the Caribbean region and has some of the most unforgettable white-sand beaches.
Aquasol Beach Park / Walter Fletcher Beach
If you're coming to Montego Bay via cruise ship, Aquasol will be the nearest beach to the port. Aquasol Beach Park, also known as Walter Fletcher Beach, has plenty to see and do. From a variety of water sports to a theme park, you can't go wrong here. Aquasol is about half a mile northwest of downtown Montego Bay.
Doctor's Cave Beach
Try soaking in the turquoise waters of the family-friendly Doctor's Cave Beach. Although it's a private beach and requires an entrance fee, it has excellent restrooms and plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to rent. Doctor's Cave Beach can be located in the heart of Hip Strip (Gloucester Avenue) and is one of the most popular beaches in the area.
Dead End Beach
Don't let the name fool you, Dead End Beach is another great option. It's a public beach at the far end of Hip Strip, and it's often quieter than other surrounding beaches. However, no entrance fees mean no restroom or shower facilities. There aren't a lot of restaurants and bars around, but you can still find vendors in the area. The clear waters, decent sand, and low traffic make it very appealing.
Dunn's River Falls
A hop and a skip away from Ocho Rios, the world-famous Dunn's River Falls is a unique 180-foot high, 600-foot long landmark. It embodies the natural beauty and wonder of Jamaica. At the base of the waterfall, you will find that the falls empty into the sea at Little Dunn's River Beach, making it one of the few travertine waterfalls on Earth.
Blue Hole / Secret Falls
The Blue Hole, also known as the Secret Falls, is a natural wonder that remains untouched by the Jamaican government. Found in the beautiful rainforest mountain of Ocho Rios, it is the perfect spot for adventures the yearn to explore.
Fun Adventure Tours, Day Tours, & More
For the adventurous individual, there's so much to see and do! You can climb the falls or go whitewater tubing, kayaking, rafting, ziplining, and more. Exciting possibilities await you at Montego Bay.
Dunn's River
The Dunn's River area offers endless excitement, even including horseback riding through the waters. It's a major Caribbean tourist attraction that gets thousands of visitors each year so try to book a guided tour in advance.

Discover the blue bioluminescent glow of the Luminous Lagoon. At night, millions of microorganisms emit beautiful blue lights when touched and transform the lagoon. It stretches the marshlands of Trelawny, just outside the town of Falmouth.
Harbour Street Craft Market
Head back over to the city to do a little bit of shopping before the day's end at the Craft Market. It has a collection of local vendors that sell all kinds of Jamaican crafts and souvenirs, from intricate wooden carvings to tacky Rastafarian hats.
