White Water Rafting
As if heart-pounding, white-water rafting wasn't enough for one Montego Bay day, it's only the beginning! There's swimming, shopping and so much more on this fantastic tour! .
After meeting your driver and small group on the pier, you will drive along the coast to the river, approximately 45 minutes away. Your water adventure begins with a short walk through the rainforest.
After some instructions from your guide, you and the rest of your co-captains board your raft and enter the fast-flowing water. With your tour guide steering the raft from the rear, you use teamwork to paddle through the twists and turns of rushing white-water rapids. The river rapids are rated class 1 and class 2 (easy to moderate) and the river flow is rated class 3 (swift moving water). Recent weather conditions can effect the river flow and level. Average time on the river is 90 minutes.
As you enter the deeper sections of the river, you can jump into the refreshing water for a chance to swim and admire the natural beauty of your surroundings. The river currents carry your raft over one final cascade, as you pass under an old colonial stone bridge and head towards the Caribbean Sea where your raft ride will end.
After reaching the Caribbean, your guide will lead you to the private beach where you will have approximately 30 minutes free time to swim, sun or purchase a refreshment from the beach bar.
Returning to the Montego Bay area, you will make a stop for approximately 40 minutes at the Shoppes at Rose Hall, where you can shop or relax with a cup of Blue Mountain coffee. You will then have a driving orientation along the "hip strip" of Montego Bay, the most popular area with visitors.
