Wine & Culinary Tour

Embark on an unforgettable journey through Montenegro’s breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage with our Wine and Culinary Tour. Ideal for travelers seeking a deeper connection to the region beyond traditional sightseeing, this tour offers an immersive experience through its history, culture, and, of course, local food and wine.

Starting from the picturesque town of Kotor, we’ll begin our adventure at the main gate and make our way up the winding mountain roads. Along the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the UNESCO-listed Bay of Kotor, with each bend offering perfect opportunities for stunning photos of the scenery.

Our next stop takes us through the former royal capital of Cetinje, where Montenegro’s royal past is showcased in its historic 19th-century architecture. As we continue, we’ll descend toward the charming village of Rijeka Crnojevića, nestled at the edge of Lake Skadar—the largest lake in the Balkans and a designated National Park.

When you arrive at the winery, you’ll be welcomed by local winemakers whose families have cultivated these lands for generations. Indulge in a farm-to-table meal made with seasonal ingredients, paired with naturally produced organic wines. As you savor the flavors, take in the sights of the vineyard, explore the ancient cellars, and visit the family’s historic stone home, built over 300 years ago.

Continuing our journey, we descend to the quaint village of Rijeka Crnojevića at Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkans and a designated National Park. Here, you'll immerse yourself in Montenegrin village life, strolling along the riverbanks and admiring the picturesque bridge that marks this historic spot.

One of the highlights of the tour is Pavlova Strana, where you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring views of Lake Skadar’s winding rivers and lush landscapes. It’s a picture-perfect location to capture memories of your journey.

As our wine tasting concludes, we’ll make our way back to the port of Kotor, passing through Budva with its enchanting coastal views, ending the day on a high note.

Join us for a day of exploration, culture, and gastronomy on this Wine and Culinary Tour, thoughtfully curated to delight your senses and deepen your appreciation for Montenegro’s vibrant heritage.

One of the best excursion experiences in our >13 cruises
Great time and well worth the cost and time. The fact that this had nothing to do with Zinfandel did not mater. It ended up being just my wife and I (other venders would have likely cancelled due to not enough customers, but not his one). A scenic drive with a nice and entertaining driver/guide took us to small family winery (cats and all) deep in the Montenegrin countryside. I am sure the winery did not meet OSHA or FDA standards, but it did not mater. Two hours at a table full of cheese, Presutto, bread and many wines to sample (oh drink as much as you want, not just little sips), talking about wine making, fruit preserving, liquor and Montenegrin politics made this an excursion for the books

Kotor?
More description would help identify this excursion. If this tour was the visit to the Honey and Wine Jablan in Montenegro, It was our favourite tour of our cruise. We travelled to the mountainous area off the coast of Kotor with a driver who shared his knowledge and history of Montenegro and the vineyard where we stopped for lunch and wine tasting. Meeting and talking to the owners was such a memorable experience that we hope go back again.

Farm to Table experience
This excursion was wonderful. Our young guide took us through beautiful countryside and we ended at his family farm where his delightful parents showed us their property and then served us a wonderful farm to table meal. it was so much fun. The homemade wine flowed freely and a great time was had by all! If you are a wine snob and looking for a traditional winery tasting experience you probably won't enjoy this excursion but if you are looking for a traditional Montenegrin experience you will love it. it immerses you in the culture of the country

HAPPY DAY!
This was the best tour of our 15 day cruise! Vlad picked us up at the port and drove us up the coast. My husband & I were in complete awe of the beauty surrounding us We climbed up the mountains of Kotor with the car and again the beauty took our breath away. When we arrived at the Villa overlooking the vineyards we were met by two of the nicest people. There was an amazing spread of cheese, prosciutto, gibanita, the tastiest stew we've ever had!! The wine was flowing, the views were spectacular and the company was amazing. Afterwards (and by the way we did not want to leave this magical place) Vlad drove us down the coast and we stopped in a small town for Turkish coffee. He then drove us down the coast towards Budva - stunning coastal city! I cannot say enough good things about this tour and especially our incredible guide Vlad! We felt as if we were amongst family. He was extremely knowledgeable of the area & had a wonderful sense of humor. Loved this excursion and our guide!

Magic day
Words cannot describe how awesome this tour was. Zoran our guide picked us up just outside Kotors Old City walls. There were 6 of us so the tour was just for us. The scenic drive on the way to the farm house was out of this world. Zoran stopped along the way for plenty of photo opportunities. When we arrived at the farm house we were greeted by the most beautiful family. A table was set under the trees and we were made so welcome. We were served with home-made dishes from produce grown on the Farm. One of the highlights was the red wine and liquors that our host Paule had produced himself. Paules wife, son and daughter in- law made this one of the most memorable days of our holiday. We would highly recommend this tour.
