Wicklow Mountaineer Train Trip

The journey begins as the train heads south from Dublin Connolly station towards Arklow, Co. Wicklow. Revel in the magnificent view of Dublin City and its beautiful architecture.

The train trip, which follows the shoreline as it heads towards Bray and Greystones along the shoreline and cliff edge, is regarded as being one of Ireland's most beautiful train routes. After leaving Arklow, the journey continues by coach to Avoca Handweavers, where visitors can take a personal tour of the oldest operating woolen mill-first built in 1723.

We stop for lunch at Fitzgeralds of Avoca, a neighborhood bar that provides hearty Irish pub cuisine. Ballykissangel, where the acclaimed BBC television series of the same name was filmed. Our next trip is the medieval monastic community of Glendalough. We take you to the Upper Lake of Glendalough, which is home to Reefert Church, Temple-na-Skellig, St. Kevin's Cell, St. Kevin's Bed, the Caher, as well as other crosses. This was the original location of the monastic settlement. Afterwards, we take the boardwalk back to the Monastic City, where you can see church remnants, a cemetery, and the well-known Round Tower.

The tour then continues through Wicklow's breathtaking terrain before you make your way back to Dublin.

At 4:45 PM we proceed to Dun Laoghaire cruise terminal via coach, and at 5:30 PM we arrive at Dublin Connolly station.
