Juneau Whale Watching & Mendenhall Glacier Tour

The Mendenhall Glacier is Juneau's most famous attraction and this excursion includes a 45 minute visit to the park after a short guided tour from downtown Juneau. You will have time to explore the walking trails, visitor's center, and wildlife viewing platforms all in front of the magnificent Mendenhall Glacier. There will be plenty of opportunities to photograph the beautiful scenery that surrounds you and if you are lucky, you might be able to witness bears fishing for salmon from the spawning streams that run through the area.

After your glacier visit is complete, you will continue on to the Whale Watching harbor where you will board a boat built especially for wildlife viewing. Your experienced captain and crew will host you on a state-of-the-art vessel equipped with restrooms, heated cabins, and multiple outdoor viewing decks. As you embark on the journey to witness whales in the wild, you will also witness other wildlife in their natural habitat, which may include seals, sea lions, eagles, and other creatures that live around the ocean. The ocean channels are protected so you can expect calm waters and abundant wildlife. You are guaranteed to see whales on this wildlife viewing adventure.
