Enter the world of chocolate for an educational experience where you will learn about the chocolate-making process from bean to bar, a perfect way to spend time with the entire family.
The art of chocolate at Graycliff Chocolatier begins with a chocolate journey through the history of its Bahamas home. You will explore the factory and learn how cocoa beans become scrumptious candy, from being roasted and ground into cocoa nibs, stone ground into liquid chocolate and then poured into sculpted molds.
Next you will enter the classroom where you will create your own chocolate bar and other chocolate goodies. Gourmet chocolates and truffles are available for purchase at the boutique once your experience has finished.
Please Note: This facility uses nuts (food allergies should be known beforehand). Protective gear will be provided and is mandatory to wear during the tour.
Check in is at a counter in the middle of the store, across from the alcohol counter, before you go downstairs into the gift shop area. There isn't a designated spot to wait inside for the tour. There are chairs and tables on the patio outside, but it's on you to watch the time and let yourself into the white room with the two fake trees. Greycliff is cashless, so bring your credit card. There is a gift shop/snack bar for purchases. Our tour was on a hot July day so our chocolate bars all slightly melted during the short walk back to the cruise ship. We are a group of teens and adults who all enjoyed this experience. We spent maybe three hours from the time we left the ship to our return because we also walked thru the Straw Market on our way to Greycliff.
