Taste of Oslo

Taste of Oslo
The combination of the surrounding mountains, and the extensive coastline has left its mark on the food of Oslo. This tour will teach you about Oslo's history, while tasting regional specialties which introduce the unique flavors found in the deep valleys and the remote fishing villages of Norway.
On this tour you'll hear fascinating stories that focus on the history of the city of Oslo. Walk to the Market Hall and taste the absolutely classic Norwegian brown cheese, which isn't a cheese at all! Stop at tasting locations on the way down the mountain to the city, passing through some of the most interesting areas of Oslo, and getting a taste of what local culture has to offer.
Pass by the New Artist Colony, walk along the river, and visit the old city center. At the pier, enjoy a plate of mixed local foods, like reindeer and fish, in a typical Norwegian restaurant. At the Central Microbrewery, taste the delicious beer which is a source of Norwegian pride. A total of 7 to 8 tastings makes up a full meal.
This is the tour to book if you are interested in discovering the history and the culinary treasures of Oslo. You'll be doing as much walking as you are eating, so comfortable footwear is recommended. There is uneven, hilly terrain in Oslo, so keep that in mind when booking this tour.
