Zip Lining & Catamaran Boat Excursion in St. Lucia
After you board your catamaran sailboat, your crew will help you get comfortable. The boat size will depend on the number of participants. Group size is usually between 70 - 90 guests. There is a shaded deck as well as space in the sun to relax. Your boat has restrooms on board. Your trip begins as you sail southbound for approximately 2 hours from Ganters Bay along the west coast to the town of Soufriere. Along the way you will see world famous Marigot Bay and the villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries.
As you sail into the town of Soufriere on this St. Lucia excursion, the magnificent Pitons will be seen rising 2,500 feet from the seashore. The Pitons are two distinct volcanic formations that have been named a World Heritage Site.
From Soufriere, you will board transportation for the ride to Hotwire Adventure Park at Morne Coubaril Estate.
Your zipline adventure begins as you are out-fitted with harness, helmet and gloves and briefed on health and safety guidelines. After a training demonstration, you are ready for the fun and are led up to the first platform from which you are torn between a panoramic view of the bay and the awe of the towering Pitons. While you whiz safely between giant Banyans, your experienced guides keep you informed of the eco-system, spectacular views to look out for and the required standards of our US-built course. This is a great zip for beginners as well as previous "zippers". There are 8 zip lines and the course takes approximately one hour to complete. Guests must be able to climb steps between landing platforms including 47 steps to reach the first platform.
Eight zip lines move you effortlessly through the estate where you can take your own air-borne photos of the Piton and town, before being carried into a canopy of banyan, coconut, plum and mango trees and across a bamboo-shadowed gorge. You can also see, smell and hear the ecosystem thriving in a pond below.
After the thrills of zip-lining enjoy the plantation tour and a creole lunch, then head back to the port to reboard your catamaran. Along the way, a stop will be made in one of the many beautiful bays along the coast for a quick swim to refresh yourself.
