Grenada PADI Discover Scuba Diving
It's true! The Caribbean may be the perfect place to add scuba diving to your life!
After being met at the cruise pier by your local representative, transfer to the dive center located on Grand Anse Beach for registration and to get fitted with your diving equipment (included in the price of your tour). You will then meet your divemaster, and in groups of no more than six, begin your introduction.
Your first Discover Scuba Diving lesson starts with a pool session in the adjacent pool. In this confined water environment we introduce new divers to their equipment, give you all the time you need to get comfortable, and teach you a few basic skills and exercises to build confidence. Once the new divers and their PADI instructors are satisfied, which usually takes anywhere from ten minutes to an hour, the divers pass through the dive shop, where you'll get set to go out on your first open water dive.
We travel to the dive site by boat (a two-minute drive) and spend the next hour getting in, getting comfortable, and getting under the sea! The dive sites are appropriate for a beginner's experience. You'll pick your comfort zone, whether it's two feet or 35 feet below the surface. The world that awaits you has more marine life to see than you've ever imagined!
You will then return to the cruise pier.
Please Note: Equipment needed for this tour is included. A minimum of two guests is required. This experience is not in itself a certification course; however, it may be used toward a PADI certification. A marine park fee of $2 USD per diver is not included in the price of the tour and must be paid at the venue in cash on the day of the tour.
