California Redwoods Muir Woods & Sausalito

On this coach voyage of the picturesque town of Sausalito and the tranquil woodland adjacent, see Sausalito and the enormous redwood trees of the Muir Woods. Engage in a fascinating journey that incorporates the finest architectural and ecological beauties of the Bay Area.

Your tour begins with the Golden Gate Bridge, one of the most symbolic of American landmarks. Bring a camera to capture the incredible images from the Golden Gate Bridge, easily the most well-known bridge in the world. If there is enough time and not too much fog, at the end of the bridge you will be able to take in the scenery from Vista Point and take photos before continuing. You will travel past the coastal mountains to reach Muir Woods.

Explore the sanctuary of enormous Redwoods that tower over you. These trees are among the world's oldest and biggest life forms, and they are simply amazing. You will stay in this lovely and tranquil woodland for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. You will journey from Muir Woods to Sausalito, which is arguably the most picturesque town in all of California and have approximately an hour to yourself there. Explore this charming, distinct Mediterranean-style town, which is home to some of the best restaurants and boutique stores. If you choose to remain in Sausalito longer and explore the town, you can do so while returning to Pier 41 for one of the most picturesque 30-minute ferry journeys (fee not included).

This tour is the ideal way to pack a lot of amazing excursions into a single, fun-filled day. Your eyes have been opened to all Northern California on this day, from San Francisco's downtown to the surrounding countryside.

Please note: This tour may operate in reverse order. Due to regulations enacted by the National Park Service for tours visiting Muir Woods, tour departure times are scheduled to fall between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM and are assigned no more than two weeks in advance for this tour. This tour is recommended for guests in port all day, with flexibility in tour time.

Redwoods Muir Woods & Sausalito
We very much enjoyed the tour! Our guide was knowledgeable about the woods but would have liked more time in Sausalito to have lunch.

Muir Woods
This was an amazing excursion, just enough time to have fun, enjoy, go over the Golden Gate Bridge. There was a problem with the time and the place on the excursion although the office fixed it promptly and no problmes. Great time

Very happy
I enjoyed the excursion very much. The transportation to and from was on time and the driver was very polite and informative. The Muir woods were beautiful and I felt we were given plenty of time to explore. Sausalito was nice but a bit pricey. Overall, it was very nice excursion with no glitches.

Really enjoyed this excursion. The driver was enthusiastic and fun!! Full of information, great added information and history lesson that was much appreciated. A very safe driver that made us feel at home!!
The trees / forest were amazing, well worth the trip. Definitely would recommend this trip.

Great excursion
This tour was fulfilled by GrayLine who took us to Muir Woods for a self-guided walk. Tour driver was excellent and this is a very special place to visit in Northern California.
