Rain Forest and Beach Adventure

The forest system is a nature lover's wonderland with rivers and streams, hiking trails, panoramic vistas, and unique Taino petroglyphs. There's no other place like it in Puerto Rico or the United States.

Under its trees, you'll find a unique ecosystem that has enchanted its visitors for centuries. The best-known sites of La Coca Falls and the 100-step Observation Tower provide an abundance of photo opportunities of dramatic waterfalls cascading down mossy cliffs, and sweeping unobstructed views of the tree canopy and surrounding mountains.

After your dramatic viewing session, you will move on to the Mameyes River, (Puente Roto Crossing), which is the most popular water play area in the forest. The Mameyes River received its Wild and Scenic River designation in 2002. This designation fosters' the preservation of certain rivers with outstanding natural, cultural, and recreational values allowing for the free-flowing condition for the enjoyment of present and future generations. While here, cool off in the river with a mild swim or soak yourself while enjoying the tranquility of the area; water shoes recommended if entering the river.

After enjoying the Mameyes River, you will head to Luquillo Beach for a 2-hour stay. Here you can shade yourself under the many coconut palms or wade into the calm northeastern coastal waters of Puerto Rico. At your convenience, visit the popular Luquillo kiosks for some uniquely local Puerto Rican cuisine including alcapurria and bacalaitos fritters and other local favorites; the cost of lunch is not included in the cost of the tour.

You are certain to end your tour in a state of pure tranquility.
