Exclusive Pyrenees Mountains Day Trip from Barcelona

Escape the city of Barcelona and take an intimate visit to one of the most prominent mountain ranges in the world. On this personalized day tour to the Pyrenees Mountains, you will get a chance to explore the breathtaking scenery and travel to the historic town of Vic.

This small group tour from Barcelona begins with a comfortable and air-conditioned van ride to the ancient town of Vic. After a brief introduction to the highlights of Vic, tour the area on your own. Enjoy some free time to visit the Romanesque cathedral, marvel at the renaissance styled buildings, or relax in the beautiful market center for breakfast. Continue your adventure to the Pyrenees with a brief stop at Queralbs village. Tour the resident's traditional stone houses and take in the magnificent view of the mountain. Here you can see the Church of Sant Sadurni de Fustanya, so beautifully structured that legend claims it was constructed by fairies and witches. This village, at an altitude of 1,236 meters, is the last vehicle-accessible stop on your journey.

From Queralbs, continue to the peak of this Pyrenees day trip. With only 6 kilometers to the top, take a rack railway to your final destination. Your guide will show you some hiking routes ranging from difficult to easy, according to your preference. Experience the beauty of nature and the picturesque views with plenty of time to spare. See Gryphon vultures, golden eagles, and marmots on a walk or try horseback riding, archery lessons, or boating. Hungry? Enjoy a traditional Catalan dish in one of the restaurants the Valley has to offer (at your own expense). Return to Barcelona after a day of fresh air and spectacular sights. This Pyrenees Mountains tour is a great way to explore the countryside outside Barcelona.

I must do tour while you're in Barcelona
This tour was well worth the money and our guide was excellent. He pointed out all kinds of details along the way and took us to a few extra places to take pictures. I would highly recommend it.

Well worth it!!
This was a small group tour and was very well organized and informative. The tour was through a small town where you get to see how the locals live. The views T the top of the mountain was amazing and the tram/gandola was super interesting. Will recommend this to anyone going to Barcelona.

Great Experience
It all ran like clockwork. The office from which the tour began was a bit chaotic but it all worked out.
My advice here is GET THERE EARLY.
The guide was great as was the itinerary.

Pyrenees
Great day in the mountains.
Super guide in Anna.

Toured a couple of mountain towns and a farmers market. We could have spent the day there.

Lots of good history of the area.

Great hiking and views at the ski resort. Fresh snow on the mountains in May.

Highly recommend if you have the time. It does take all day.

Incredible!
This was such an amazing trip! So much to see, it was like being in fantasyland. It was snowing at the top of the mountain and everyone was skiing. So incredibly beautiful. We stopped in Vic along the way and got lunch, so fun, flea market was great!

The mountains are beautiful
Our guide was Geordy and he did a wonderful job. We went to VIC really interesting because it was Saturday Oct 12, 2014 and the locals where having a farm market. Never saw so many mushrooms. Saw the oldest Roman ruins in all of Spain in VIC. Geordy told us to buy some food for lunch in the market so we could have a picnic in the mountains. Rode the zipper train up the Pryrenees, and nice resort near the top and a lift up to the top. We had a grand time but tired when we returned.
