Fabulous half day private tour!!
This was excellent! We really loved the guide and flexibility to take us on a wonderful 1/2 day excursion. They took us to the beach, a coffee plantation and a wonderful ocean view restaurant for lunch. Would highly recommend this one!!

Outstanding way to see Costa Rica.
Our guide, Jesus, was very well educated about his country and was highly experienced. Our driver was excellent as well and showed good skills and judgement at all times. In one area we visited, we were cutting through the jungle on a very narrow and rough road and found that a bridge on that road was モoutヤ. Rather than taking a chance and trying to ford the stream, our driver and guide immediately realized we would need to reverse course, rather than attempting to cross the stream beside the damaged bridge. They used great judgement.

Jesus has a high level of local knowledge and customized our tour based on the kind of things in which we were interested. I would love to have this kind of tour at every destination we visit.

great private tour
Our group of 8 booked this tour. When we met with the tour guide, he asked us what we would like to see. He gave us some options, and we decided to go to the Cahuita National Park. It was about a 45 minute drive to the Park. We saw howler monkeys along the way, as well as banana plantations. At the park we saw sloths, and other wild life. Since our group was small, it was easy to hear our guide. He was adept at spotting wild life. He tailored the hike for our wishes. We did stop at a rural fruit stand/souvenir shop where we were able to taste locally grown produce. Before we returned to the ship, he also gave us a short tour of the city, sharing information and answering our questions. This was the perfect tour for our small group and I would highly recommend this!

Excellent Way to Tour Costa Rica
I have a mobility scooter and wasn't sure if I could take it. I spoke with someone at Shore Excursions Group who got it ok'd for me to take my scooter.

We were greeted by Pablo and Charlie who were awesome. When asked what we wanted to do, we stated that we wanted to see sloths and go to a beach so they headed to Cahuita National Park.

Once we arrived at the National Park, we immediately saw capybara. We saw sloths, toucans, poisonous snakes, monkeys, and iguanas. Pablo guided my family on the trails and helped get some awesome pictures using binoculars. My family then enjoyed a dip in the ocean to cool off.

Next we started heading back so we stopped at a local fruit stand which had souvenirs and fruit. It was a good place to taste fresh bananas, corn, and other native dishes. After that, we stopped at a banana plantation and Pablo went into the fields to get us a banana flower and explained that process.

It was an awesome day full of education and beauty.
