Private Copenhagen and Kronborg

Get up close and personal with Denmark's capital city as you tour Copenhagen on foot. Your journey begins as you are picked up by your guide at the port and driven to the Old Town of Copenhagen where you will be greeted by the Little Mermaid, a bronze statue more than a century old that is a favorite with tourists. Walk to Royal Square and marvel at the four identical palaces and watch the historic sailboats on the canal at New Harbor Street. As you stroll down Stroget, one of the longest pedestrian areas in the world, you will see medieval streets, Parliament, and the Old Stock Exchange building. The Round Tower with its equestrian staircase and St. Nicholas Church with its 90-foot Neo-Baroque spire never fails to disappoint. Enjoy beautiful views of Amalienborg Palace and Christiansborg Castle and be sure to throw a coin into Gefion Fountain at the harbor front for good luck!

After an optional coffee break you will hop the train for a scenic ride to Kronborg Castle. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this building has been in existence since 1420, and legend has it the castle was the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet. Conclude your 7-hour tour back in Old Town where you can return back to port or stay in the city center to further explore Copenhagen on your own terms.
