Valparaiso and Viña del Mar (Pre Cruise)

Add one more port to your itinerary with this transfer tour that will show you charming Valparaiso and includes a visit to a Chilean winery. After loading your luggage on the transportation, you will begin the tour.

Chile's unique combination of diverse geographical areas and Mediterranean climate make it ideal for eco-friendly winegrowing and producing a wide variety of wine styles. On the way to Valparaiso, you will stop at a winery located in the valley of Casablanca, Veramonte or Emiliana. The viticulture history of the Casablanca Valley began in 1982 and has become one of the favorite places for the development of new projects in the Chilian wine industry.

Veramonte is a well-established and massive producer of Chilean wine, an easily recognizable brand for anyone who strays into the global section of their wine shops, as well as those who have a thirst for reasonably priced Sauvignon Blanc, of which Veramonte makes a seemingly never-ending supply.

Emiliana is the first organic and biodynamic winery in Chile. The Emiliana winery firmly believes that using sustainable, organic, and biodynamic agricultural practices results in better-balanced, healthier, and more productive vineyards, which in turn results in better quality grapes and therefore better wines. The winery visited will be confirmed the day of the tour based on availability at the winery due to production that day. Regardless of which winery is visited, you will be treated to a guided tasting of some of their top wines.

The tour then arrives to Vina del Mar, also known as "the garden city" and situated north of Valparaiso. This is the closest resort to Santiago, the capital of Chile. Here, during a driving orientation, you will see the oldest casino in the country, beautiful public parks, a real MOAI (totem from Easter Island), as well as the beautiful beaches where many "Santiaguinos" (people from Santiago) spend their holidays. Here you will enjoy a seafood lunch at one of the areas favorite restaurants.

Discovered in 1536, Valparaiso is one of the oldest and more charming sea ports in South America. It was declared a heritage of mankind by UNESCO in 2003. On this drive around town, you will pass the National Congress and many historical buildings in the surroundings of this natural bay. During your tour, you will have an included ride on one of the fifteen elevators (cable cars) which are a must among the tourist attractions of this city. You will also be able to feel this city during the walking portion of your tour through its narrow streets and up stairways in one of the most traditional areas on top of the hills.

Please Note: This tour is for passengers starting their cruise in Valparaiso. The tour will begin at either the airport in Santiago or a hotel in the central Santiago area and will end at the cruise ship. If you are arriving at Santiago airport on the same day of the tour, your flight must be scheduled to arrive at Santiago airport no later than 8:00 AM. If you are staying at a hotel, it is very important that you give us the correct name and address of the hotel, as many hotel chains have several properties. Failure to provide the correct information will result in loss of your tour and will not be subject to a refund. Your cruise must be scheduled to set sail at 5:00 PM or later.
