Private Post Cruise Bacardi Distillery and San Juan

After meeting your driver with your luggage, you will depart to the south side of San Juan Harbor for a visit to the Bacardi Rum Distillery, the world's largest distiller of natural spirits. Upon arrival, you and your guide will board an open-air tram for the ride to the new Visitor's Building. During your tour, you will see audio and video displays about the history of Bacardi and the rum-making process, and then visit a gallery displaying old documents, family portraits, rum bottles, and other items. At the Bacardi cocktail lounge, which resembles a 1920s Cuban bar, you will watch a bartender prepare cocktails using Bacardi rum. See some of Bacardi's greatest commercial ads in a room filled with lights and music, and send video emails to your friends. Your tour will conclude at the open-air pavilion for some complimentary rum drinks. Bacardi Rum and products may be purchased in the Rum N' Things gift shop next to the pavilion. For insurance reasons, guests cannot tour the actual preparation/bottling area.

An old walled city with more than 400 years of history, in contrast to a modern resort city, is the backdrop for your orientation of this thriving and interesting city.

You will then drive to the new part of town, where you will travel through the Condado area. Here you will see the luxury hotels, casinos, nightclubs, and many restaurants that make this the most popular place in town after dark.

San Juan's old town tells hundreds of years of history in its restored and renovated buildings, homes, and fortifications. It is divided by narrow streets, many still paved with cobblestones. Photo opportunities abound as you pass the Governor's Palace, San Juan Cathedral, Capilla de Cristo, Fort San Cristobal and travel along the coast road to El Morro, where you will have a photo stop from the street.

As you drive along, look down every street for hidden plazas and the beautiful 17th-century Spanish ironwork on the restored old homes, and blue-black glazed cobblestones lining the narrow streets of the Old City. At the end of the tour, you will be delivered to the airport or a San Juan City, Condado or airport hotel.

Please Note: Vehicles available for this tour accommodate groups of up to 11, 15, 26, or 45 passengers maximum. Groups with more than 30 guests may be accommodated upon request. Please consider this information when booking.

February 3rd Tour with "Charlie" was FANTASTIC
Charlie was the best tour driver we've had. He took us to Old San Juan, new San Jan, government buildings, the National Park, another park so that we could see the city & fort from a different perspective. He had lots of valuable information to share & answered questions. He was kind enough to park & allow us to shop at Del Sol, to see the street of hanging umbrellas, & found us a PO box so I could mail postcards.

The Distillery tour was a bit of a disappointment, but that is on Bacardi. The tour only lasted about 40 mins. You don't get to see the production line. Samples were great & we still had fun. There is some great furniture in the office & prices in the gift shop aren't unreasonable.

I promised Charlie five Mickey stars. Here they are: oOo oOo oOo oOo oOo. Unfortunately, superscript doesn't work in this format, so imagine the little o's on each side of the big O's as the ears.

THANK YOU, CHARLIE. We'll ask for you the next time we are in San Juan.

Great Guide, Tour of San Juan was super!
Our guide was very knowledgable regarding the history of San Juan, both old and new cities.

The Baracdi Tour was a disappointment. It was our second time on the tour and we had hyped it to our family, but you don't get to acrually tour the distillery and what the tour consisted of was very boring to our group.
