Taieri Gorge Railway and the Otago Peninsula

Prepare to be amazed on this incredible Dunedin tour. You can expect natural beauty galore as you make your way around Dunedin.

Your guide will meet you inside Port Chalmers and then take you to the Historic Dunedin Railway station. For about 30 minutes, you can admire this architectural masterpiece before boarding your train. The 4-hour adventure crosses southern portions of Dunedin and then takes you through mesmerizing scenery on the banks of the Taieri River. Eventually, you will travel through several tunnels and viaducts to climb up to the Taieri Gorge.

There are plenty of photo opportunities on the way since the train slows down around scenic spots; there are also stops along the way for even better photos. Upon your return to the Dunedin station, your guide will take you out to the Otago Peninsula for more incredible scenery. You'll visit remote areas that big buses aren't able to go! Expect to see fine beaches and a stunning coastline.

After your time admiring the vistas, you'll be taken back to your ship.
