Malta by Segway

Located south of Sicily and east of the North African coast, the small island country of Malta is spread out over a 3-island archipelago. Only the three largest islands of Malta, Gozo and Kemmuna are inhabited.

Your journey of the island of Malta (in Malta) will be exhilarating as you discover this picturesque jewel on a Segway. Begin with a brief instructional session and introduction to all things Segway, plus time to practice and become comfortable. Once you feel you are in control of your Segway, you and your small group will navigate charming villages along your way to Dingli Cliffs.

Climb up the hills and slopes of the surrounding area as you reach Valleta, a village in Malta's northern region. Ride up to the cliffs rising some 253 meters (830 ft.) above sea level for fantastic views from one of the highest points on the island.

Enjoy wonderful ocean breezes and open sea views as you continue your journey of exploration to Buskett Gardens. This lush area contains one of the few woodlands on the island that were spared from the countless number of indigenous trees cut down during the shipbuilding era.

While on tour you will also stop at the 17th-century Mary Magdalene Chapel, followed by a short break for photos and refreshments. The date of construction of the chapel is not known, but the oldest reference to the building was made in 1446.The chapel was in a state of disrepair by 1575, and it later collapsed. It was rebuilt in 1646, which was commemorated by a Latin inscription above its doorway.
