Magnificent Ronda and Mijas
Magnificent Ronda and Mijas
Spend the day in the beautiful mountaintop city of Ronda in the Malaga province of Spain. This city is literally divided in two by El Tajo Gorge, a 377-foot deep chasm that separates Ronda's 15th-century new town from its old town with Moorish roots.
Your journey begins as you are picked up from the port in Malaga and taken through the picturesque, beautiful Andalusian countryside to the charming city of Ronda. Upon arrival, your guide will give you a short orientation of the city and suggestions on what to see and do, then you are free for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to explore the town on your own.
Grab a photo of Puente Nuevo, a towering 18th-century bridge that spans the gorge and connects the two sides of Ronda. Visit the Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles gardens and walk through the old Arabian city with its stunning Moorish architecture, almost begging you to pull out your camera. Maison Bosco, Cathedral, Main Square, Mondragon Palace, Arabian bridge, and the monument to Pedro Romero round out the city's landmarks. Of course, no trip to Ronda would be complete without visiting the infamous bullring!
On the return journey you will make a stop at Mijas, a charming collection of white-washed houses adorned with hanging flower pots on the Costa del Sol. Enjoy a stroll through this romantic seaside village perched on the cliffs of the Mediterranean and take some great photos before you make your way back to the port.
This full-day, small-group tour is a must-do for photography buffs and architecture lovers. Book now and don't miss out!
