Lava Cave Adventure

If you're in the Golden Circle and you want a unique outing, consider touring Iceland's lava caves. The continental rift separating America and Europe results in tectonic plate activity responsible for volcanic eruptions. Witness the beauty of the resulting scenery on this guided tour.

These eruptions are the natural force behind the scenic cave you'll explore. Safely transport your entire family or group to the underlying terrain of Iceland's lava field, located in the Blue Mountains. Your experienced cave guide will provide specialized gear for the outing, including a helmet and a headlight. These lava caves located in Thingvellir area are typical lava tubes, formed by flowing lava moving beneath the hardened surface thousands of years ago.

Once prepped, you'll see a multitude of colors and jagged rock formations in this hidden world. This is a perfect opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and discover something completely new. Book this tour today and explore a lava cave for the ideal way to see, first-hand, how Iceland was created.

Please Note: Rental gear such as hiking boots, waterproof jackets, waterproof pants, and hiking poles are available to rent for approximately $10 US each (not included).
