Barbados Harrison's Cave Tour

For those interested in a shorter excursion focusing on the island's premier attraction, the Barbados Harrison's Cave Tour is exactly the right choice. Setting out from the pier area, you will travel to the middle of the island and the magnificent Harrison's Cave. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes.

At the cave, you will board electrically operated trams that will take you through the extensive system of caverns while experienced guides will give you historical information. The Barbados Harrison's cave is truly a phenomenon of nature. There are amazing galleries of stalactites hanging from the roof of the cave, and stalagmites reaching up from the ground, with emerald pools and pillars where they have joined over thousands of years. The dramatic lighting will enhance your visit. Depending on crowds, your time in the cave is approximately 35-45 minutes. There is also a 20-minute video you can watch either before or after the Barbados tour (depending on the wait to get in the cave).

After your cave tour, you will rejoin your transportation for the 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Harrison Cave Tour
We were looking for something out of the ordinary in Barbados, and came across the this tour. Im so glad that we found it! First our driver (I have lost her name) was wonderful! Knowledgeable, friendly, and waited for us outside the cave tour.
The tour itself was exellent , the cave it beautiful.
We got back to the ship in time for lunch, then some shopping afterwards!

Harrison Cave. Nature's mystery.
This excursion itself was excellent, epecially if you are interested in nature's mysteries.
Word of warning. Our excursion was booked for pick up at 1 pm, tour at 2:30. We were to be back on board ship at 4:30 latest. There would not have been time. We voiced our concerns with the tour guide and he worked hard to get us an earlier tour time but we were rushed and the tour was abbreviated. We made it back at 4:15.

PERFECT CAVE EXCURSION
This excursion felt very individual and was great! My husband and I didn’t feel rushed and our driver, Chris (hope I didn’t spell that wrong) was very informative and welcomed any questions. And even the people who worked at the caves took amazing photos of us! After the cave my husband and I walked around on this beautiful trail and got to feed some birds and Chris encouraged us to stay longer if we liked! Chris even dropped us off at the beach we wanted to go to after and offered to wait for us or showed us how to walk back to our ship and even left us with a person we could go to if we had any other questions after she left.

A cave unlike any other
If you like viewing unusual stalactites and stalagmites in a variety of shapes, then this is the tour for you. Jump on the tram which guides you around a large portion of this HUGE cave and be wowed! Unbelievable and fascinating!

Harrisons Cave is very much worth seeing
Harrisons Cave is very much worth seeing. The rubber-tired mini-train is a great way to explore the Cave. Lighting is good. Warning about water dripping from the ceiling was appreciated.
The short video prior to the tour is not necessary.

A unique experience - very worthwhile.
This excursion was excellent. It was a unique experience made even more impressive by our driver, Glyne Martin, who took the time to provide a great deal of interesting information about Barbados, while we traveled to and from the caves.
