Auckland Explorer Bus

The Hop On Hop Off Auckland bus enables you to spend the day visiting the places of interest to you, spending as much time as you like at the various attractions, and then rejoining the circuit and travelling to the next place you find of interest. It's a fun and easy way to experience Auckland City. A comprehensive commentary as you travel around provides an interesting overview of the city.

On this excursion, the buses travel a scenic route, stopping at all the top Auckland attractions where you can hop off and explore at your own pace. The buses travel the circuit all day; when you wish to move to the next attraction you simply return to the stop where you got off and hop on the next bus.

The attractions are varied and interesting, with something for everyone. You can visit Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World. Travel on the moving walkway through an amazing underwater world, and ride a snow cat through the ice enclosure to view the penguins. Also on the circuit is the stunning Auckland Museum, a must for visitors to Auckland to learn the story of New Zealand's uniquely ancient natural history and Maori culture. Parnell Village is also a very popular area to visit, with beautiful, old period houses that have been transformed into charming boutique-style stores. Sky City contains a casino, and the Sky Tower offers breathtaking views of up to 50 miles in every direction. There are beautiful gardens on the circuit for garden lovers, shopping streets and malls for those who enjoy meandering through the shops, and the Auckland Zoo, which is one of the best in the world. You can visit lookout points such as Bastion Point, with stunning views of the beautiful Hauraki Gulf, and Mt. Eden, an extinct volcano and Auckland's highest point. The Auckland explorer bus will make the day yours to explore and enjoy this beautiful city.

Please note: From October though March the buses operate from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. From April through September the buses operate from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a transfer tour. Tour does not drop off at the airport. Tour vehicle cannot accommodate luggage.

Excellent tour
This was a wonderful tour. I loved the visit to the top of the 800 year old volcano which was a first for me and visited some of the gardens.I ran out of time and didn't take the ferry trip.

Auckland Explorer Bus
Good way to see Aukland in a short period of time. Lots of options to just ride or get off and explore different locations.

Sights to see by bus
This tour offering two routes to choose from was a brilliant way to see the area. The driver and pre recorded voice over was great. We managed three stops and still managed to complete both routes.

Easy Peezy
Easy to locate the bus and didn't have a long wait when we wanted to hop on. You must pay attention to the driver. At a certain point he asks the riders where they want to go because the bus changes from the red line to the blue line. No worries!

Fantastic Experience
This was a great tour of the city. It took us to the most popular sights and the drivers were nice and willing to assist.

Great way to get around
We took this bus to see the town and area. It has 2 interconnecting routes and drops off at many locations. Busses came by about every 15 minutes. Worth the money and would do it again.

auckland and surrounds
Bus driver was very informative. The weather did not permit us to hop off however even though the weather was bad we still enjoyed his comments and the places we toured.

Bus Tour
Our ship didn't dock until 1:00pm, so we merely had a few hours to check out Auckland. The bus was informational and gave us an overview of Auckland.
