Eagle Island Kayak

Tired of the busy, commercialized city tours with throngs of people? Then this is the excursion for you! You and your small group will be greeted by your local and knowledgeable tour guide and whisked away from port in a van to beautiful Clover Pass on the north end of Ketchikan.

After a warm welcome by the kayaking staff you will be led down to the water, introduced to your tandem kayak, and expertly fitted with your jacket and kayak skirt. Be provided with a safety briefing on how to load, steer, and paddle your kayak, as well group communication and what to do should your kayak capsize.

From there it's into the water to enjoy the tranquil setting of the Tongass National Forest. New to kayaking? Not a problem! Eagle Island and Clover Island are in a protected area sheltered by small islands and lots of trees, and you will gain confidence in no time. Enjoy the beauty surrounding you as your professional guide shares the natural and cultural history of the area while you keep an eye out for bald eagles' nests, playful seals, jumping salmon and - depending on the tides - sea stars. You might even get a front row seat to observe a bald eagle swooping down to the water to catch its next meal.

Reserve your boat on this small group intimate tour now for an unforgettable day in the waters of Ketchikan and Tongass National Forest.
