Recommended Dress We recommend wearing comfortable, lightweight summer clothing and walking shoes are suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Sunglasses and a hat are also advised. The United Arab Emirates has conservative dress traditions. Swimwear must be confined to the beach and hotel pools. Men and women should ensure shoulders and knees are covered when in public, especially in souks, shops, malls, and villages. If you plan on visiting a mosque, please wear loose long trousers or long skirts and long sleeves. Shorts, and tight or transparent clothing is not permitted. Women must cover their head with a scarf.
Restrictions Guests must be able to get in and out of the vehicle. Normal tourist photography is acceptable, but it is considered offensive to photograph Arab women. It is also courteous to ask permission before photographing men. Photographs of government buildings, police, or military installations are not allowed.

This fabulous day-long trip includes all the interesting and scenic areas of the north side of Oman, such as open markets, forts, and invigorating hot springs. Your tour includes lunch in a local restaurant, so you are sure to experience the cultural flair of Nakhl.

Begin this epic ride when your driver picks you up in a deluxe vehicle that is comfortable and roomy. Your driver will take you along the picturesque coast of Batinah. The breathtaking views are mesmerizing as you make your way to the local souqs. Once at your destination you will get to explore the open markets and see all that the vendors offer including fish, meat, produce, and crafts.

After shopping and strolling the souqs, continue on through the village to visit the grand Oasis of Nakhl, an historic and magnificent 17th century fort, and the exhilarating Al Thowarah Hot Springs. After exploring these amazing landmarks, you will dine at one of the local restaurants. Having lunch locally will really give you a feel and taste of the Nakhl heritage.

After lunch, your day continues as you make your way to the township of Rustaq, where you will take a tour of the Al Hazm Fort. This fort is at the entrance of the mountains, so the backdrop is wonderfully scenic. After your visit, you will return to Muscat.

Please Note: During the Holy Month of Ramadan and the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, there will be no entertainment, no belly dancing, and alcohol will not be served.
