Three Port Best of Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios
Snorkel El Cielo, Colombia Reef & Playa Mia Beach Excursion in Cozumel
After arriving at the pier downtown, you will board your boat with a maximum capacity of 75 guests and set sail on the shimmering water for one of Cozumel's best reef areas, Colombia and El Cielo, located inside the National Marine Park. In transit, your crew will prepare your snorkeling equipment and give instructions on its use during the approximately 1-hour trip.
Jump in with both feet and begin your Cozumel cruise excursions as you will first enter the water from the boat and drift snorkel (carried along by the tide) as the wonderful underwater world of Cozumel appears below you. You will spend approximately 35 to 40 minutes in the water at each vibrant reef.
At El Cielo, named after heaven itself, marvel at the starfish that decorate the sandy ocean floor. This sandbank in the southwestern tip of Cozumel is an incredibly beautiful spot with turquoise waters and shallow areas where the starfish are known to gather. The water depth at Cielo is very shallow, usually only waist deep, and is known as a sandbar. El Cielo is only accessible by boat and is about a half mile from the coast. The powder white sand will massage your feet with every step you take.
For the next part of your Cozumel tour to Colombia Reef, a sublime snorkeling spot hailed as one of the Marine National Park's finest. Mild currents greet you in a protected bay-like area where the shallow coral heads rise around 10-30 feet above the sandy ocean floor. Situated near Colombia Lagoon this area sometimes gets cool, fresh water coming from the lagoon. With excellent visibility and a diverse variety of marine life, Colombia Reef is a perfect place to spot sea turtles, coral communities, barracudas, eagle rays, and schools of shimmering fish.
From here, you will climb back aboard your boat and make your way to Playa Mia, which is only 15 minutes away. Upon arrival at Cozumel's most popular full-service beach, you will have approximately 1 hour of fun.
Playa Mia offers something for everyone. In addition to the white sand beach and beautiful Cozumel water, there is a shopping area, swimming pool, lounge chairs, beach volleyball and soccer courts, ping-pong tables, restrooms, kayaks, paddle boats, water bicycles, floating mats, and relaxing oasis island pool and hydro massage tub.
Your time at Playa Mia also includes the delicious buffet at the main restaurant with international and national specialties such as fajitas, a salad bar, chicken wings, rice, and more. For an additional fee, the following activities and items are also available at the park: drinks at the espresso bar, beach umbrellas, snorkel gear, other water sports equipment, outdoor massage, hair braiding, a fish spa, and more.
For the younger kids, there is Buccaneer Bay, complete with a pirate ship, water cannons, and slides. For the older kids and kids at heart, there are two 200-foot water slides in addition to the pool and ocean. Under the ocean, there are sunken Mayan relics you can snorkel over and discover.
At the appointed time and place you will meet for your return trip.
Please Note: The Oasis Island Pool & Hydro Massage Tub will be undergoing maintenance starting from 9/11/2024 and continuing for around one month. During this period, the Twin Twister Water Slides, the Floating Park, the Cantina Pool, and all other park activities will remain available.
Coral Gardens & Barrier Reef Snorkel with Stingray City Tour
Avoid the crowds on the cruise ship excursions on this motorized cabin cruiser tour to Stingray City, the world renowned snorkeling destination located in the shallow waters of Grand Cayman's North Sound. With an average group size of only 30 people on this Grand Cayman excursion, you will fully enjoy the exciting experience of swimming and interacting with stingrays!
After departing George Town, you will transfer to the boat on the other side of the island. Once at Stingray City, you'll be able to interact, feed, and swim with these beautiful and gentle stingrays!
Stingray City is believed to have begun years ago when stingrays would gather in the sandbars of the North Sound to feed on the leftovers that fishermen would throw overboard as they anchored there to clean their fish. After many years, the stingrays have become so accustomed to this that they're now routinely fed by hand!
After your visit with the stingrays, you will reboard your boat for a trip to the beautiful Barrier Reef, where you will don the included snorkel gear and explore the underwater world of the reef.
Your next snorkel stop will be the Coral Gardens of Grand Cayman. This shallow reef is less than 10 feet to the bottom, and is known for its fish and invertebrate population. Here you will see large schools of fish such as grunts, yellowtails and sergeant majors, along with the semi-resident green-sea turtle.
Time on the boat is approximately three hours. Transfers are 15 minutes each way
Exclusive Ocho Rios Dunn's River Falls and Area Highlights
Escape the large cruise ship tours on this exclusive small-group excursion to the famous Dunn's Falls and the many highlights of
Dunn's Falls is roughly 600 feet above sea level, with beautiful crystal-clear water running down the mountain into the ocean. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to climb up the mountain. There are places along the way where you can slide down into pools of water, take a swim and climb again. For those who wish to stop climbing, there are multiple points where you can leave the falls and walk on the adjacent path. There are local "guides" at the falls who will lead you up. These guides are separate from your Ocho Rios Falls tour and will expect a gratuity when you reach the top.
Next, you will depart for your tour of the highlights around Ocho Rios, which includes a drive-through Fern Gully. Once a river bed, Fern Gully is now a rainforest known for its incredible biodiversity and is home to many different species of ferns, which you will see on both sides of the roadway. Your first stop will be Shaw Park Lookout. From this lookout, you can see across the lush 25 acres of tropical foliage in the garden (the garden itself is not visited on this tour) to the town of Ocho Rios and the beautiful Caribbean in the distance. You will also have an up-close look at a Banyan Tree that is over 200 years old.
You will drive to the village of Spice Mountain, where you will see how some of the locals live. Your driver will stop at a spice shack where you can purchase some of the local spices. Finally, you will head down through Ocho Rios where you can stroll through local shops before returning to your ship.
