Recommended Dress As you will be visiting a religious or memorial site, shoulders and knees must be covered. Sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes, sunglasses, and sunscreen are also suggested.

Restrictions Guests must be able to step up onto and off of the bus. To access the upper deck, a narrow staircase must be climbed. Fold up wheelchairs can be stored based on space available. The buses are equipped with a manual ramp for wheelchair access. There are steps required to enter several of the sites, as well as steep curbs in some areas.

Hop-on Hop-Off Barcelona Bus Tour

If you want to visit Barcelona at your own pace and with no hurry, the double-decker tourist bus is your option! You can get on and off all day long, with the same ticket. You can change routes and learn about the history of the city through a comfortable audio system with earphones, in multiple languages.

Wander around the ancient winding streets where many of the buildings date from medieval times, some from as far back as the Roman settlement of Barcelona and visit Gaudi's famous Sagrada Familia and Casa Batllo among other beautiful places. From an open-top double-decker bus, you will get the chance to see the major sights of Barcelona. The tour will highlight all the best sights to see in the city, and you can hop on and off at your convenience at more than 30 stops.

Upon boarding you will receive a map and guide with all the stops of each of the routes, and discounts for different establishments in the city. These new buses are adapted for people with limited mobility and have an electric roof for use in the event of rain; they are fitted with ergonomic seats and heating on both decks. There is a stewardess aboard to answer general questions.

Please Note: There are 2 bus routes that follow the same schedule. The routes run every 20 minutes, and it takes approximately 2 hours to complete the routes without getting off. Restrictions This tour can accommodate a collapsible wheelchair. Guests must be able to walk on paved, as well as cobblestone surfaces. There are steps and steep curbs in some areas. Children ages 4 and younger may attend the tour free of charge with advanced notice at the time of booking. For safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden to bring luggage, awkwardly-sized bags, big backpacks, or bulky baggage on board the bus. Medium to small sized domestic animals are permitted on the bus, provided that they are on a leash and muzzled, or in a pet carrier. The pet carrier must be clean, in good condition, and must not contain food. The owner must ensure the animal does not disturb, damage, or dirty other passengers, the bus staff, or their possessions. The owner or the holder of the animal is liable for any damage caused by the animal. The driver can deny the animal access at any time if they believe that the animal might damage or compromise the bus or passengers' security. Any passenger who does not follow these restrictions, or whose animal has been denied access by the bus driver, is not eligible for a refund.

Highlights of Marseille

Marseille is enjoying a cultural renaissance and you will see why during this 4-hour small tour. This city is the second largest one in France and was the European Capital of Culture in 2013.

Your adventure begins with a trip to Marseille's historical center. Walk along the Vieux Port dotted with shops and restaurants while your tour guide reveals the port's journey from a 6th century trade post to the area's hub of maritime activity in the 19th century. From there you will head to the colonnade-lined Palais Longchamp at the terminus of the Durance River. Inaugurated in 1869 as a monument to commemorate the connection of Marseille to a new waterway network, the combination large fountain-waterfall-water tower has two wings that house the city's natural history museum and Musee des beaux-arts.

Continue marveling at Marseille's highlights such as the stunning Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde. Situated on the foundation of an ancient fort, this building rests on the highest elevation in the city overlooking Marseille. Consecrated in 1864 to replace an 11th century church by the same name, the Basilique has a lower crypt built in the Romanesque style and an upper church that was built in the Neo-Byzantine style using green limestone from Florence. You'll have the opportunity to go inside the Basilique and explore the symbol of the city of Marseille for approximately thirty minutes.
