Huatulco's Customs and Traditions
Discover authentic Mexico with its unique ways on this fascinating Customs and Traditions tour of local villages in the Tangolunda countryside of Huatulco. Here you will see the traditional lifestyle and admire the crafts of local artisans.
After leaving the pier, your professional guide will take you to see spectacular panoramic views of the Tangolunda countryside and learn the rich history of the area. You'll stop at La Crucesita, a small local village, where you can stroll through the charming main plaza and shop in the handicraft market and silver shops. Here, you'll find Oaxaca's famous woven rugs and black pottery, as well its carved wooden figures. The zocalo (main square) offers a wonderful ambiance with its shade trees, benches, and sunny walkways.
Stop at the Mezcal house to learn about this traditional drink, and sample other local culinary delights such as mole, chocolate, and quesillo. Before heading back to the pier, you will also visit a loom to see local artisans weaving traditional cloths.

Canopy Adventure
It's a great tour for those with an adventurous spirit. Zip Lines are one of the most popular activities in Puerto Vallarta; you'll feel like Tarzan when flying above the Sierra Madre mountains and tropical vegetation. Adrenaline and tons of fun await you in this incredible zip line adventure tour.
Departing from the cruise pier, you will travel for approximately 45 minutes to reach the zip line location. Upon arrival, you will get suited up in your harness and helmet. Guides will brief you about equipment and safety basics. Then you are ready to start one of the most exciting adventures of your life. Knowledgeable guides will be there to assist you at each step of the zip line. Safety equipment is regularly inspected and well maintained. Professional photos will be taken throughout the zip. Make sure to ask your guide where you can see them.
There are a total of 11 zip lines. The first zip is shorter for practice. The adrenaline rush will be incredible when you go across the freestyle lines, where you can just let go and enjoy the great view over the mountains with the beautiful river under you. Go from 50 to 55 miles per hour on the fastest line, Tom and Jerry, where you can race with a friend! Walk along the river and through the wooded area, where you can also admire the wildlife and exuberant vegetation of the area that will be the perfect complement for a great outdoor day and an incredible experience. Total time on the zip and trails is approximately 3 hours.
You will make a stop on the way back to town at a restaurant along the river. Here, you will have free time to purchase a snack, local beer or margarita, swim in the river, or take a nature walk along its banks. For the brave, there is an optional tequila tasting. You will then make the drive back to the ship pier.
