Best Bermuda Snorkel Adventure
Best Bermuda Snorkel Adventure
When it comes to snorkel tours in Bermuda, this small group, two-stop snorkel adventure leaves the others gasping for breath.
To begin with, your boat is not your average marine viewing vessel. It is a 31-foot rib glass-bottom boat which holds no more than 16 guests per departure. This allows you to travel faster than the large traditional boats, giving you more time at the snorkel stops. Depending on the weather and sea conditions that day, your captain will choose two out of three amazing snorkel sites that will give you the best experience: a sheltered island, a shipwreck, or coral reef. The first snorkel stop is approximately 30 minutes, and the second stop is approximately 45 minutes.
If you visit the sheltered island, novice snorkelers will put on the included snorkel gear and be taught and accompanied by a crew member in shallow water, while experienced snorkelers can plunge in and snorkel around the little island.
Your captain may take you to snorkel in the crystal-clear waters over an ancient shipwreck. Usually, the snorkeling is over the "Constellation" and "Montana" sunk in the 1800s and early 1900s. This snorkeling area is popular with locals and scuba divers.
If you snorkel over a coral reef, you'll view different types of coral that nature has sculptured over the years. You'll feel like you are visiting a tropical underwater paradise complemented by several species of colorful fish, sea fans, sea rods and brain coral.
This tour is very popular and space is limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
