Jungle Zip Line
Begin your Belize excursion with a scenic drive from Belize City towards the Mayan mountains of Belize. During the approximately one-hour drive to the jungle, you'll see the Belize countryside where much of Belize's agriculture is grown. As you get closer to the mountains, pasture turns into lush jungle.
Upon arrival, walk five minutes over a packed dirt and gravel path to the starting point for your zip adventure. After a safety demonstration and strapping up, climb the stairs to your first platform. While you are traversing the lush canopy you'll learn about the ecosystem that surrounds you. There will be staff on each of the nine platforms for maximum safety. The highest platform on this Belize tour is 120 feet and the longest Zip is 600 feet. There are a total of six zip lines. The entire course takes approximately 45-50 minutes.
After completing your zip line adventure, you will have approximately one to two hours of free time for optional activities including swimming in the nearby river or purchasing lunch. With the jungle's beautiful natural setting, it is very likely you will forget all your problems from back home.
At the end of your free time, you will board your transportation for the one-hour drive back to the pier in Belize City.
Please Note: Belize tour times listed are in local time. Due to the difference between local and ship time, Carnival guests must book the earliest local time departure. The river bottom is rocky; tennis shoes (which will get wet) or water shoes are required. Swimming may sometimes be restricted depending on the river's current or time restraints. The drive from the main highway to the tour location goes over some unpaved road that is uneven and bumpy.
