Bamboo River Raft Experience

Experience the sights sounds of nature and on this bamboo river raft experience down a Dominican river.

After you meet your local tour guide, be provided a cold bottle of water and begin your adventure by driving through Puerto Plata, Sosua, and Cabarete.

Upon arriving at your departing station, take a moment to absorb the surrounding beauty before being provided a safety briefing and issued your lightweight life jacket, then embark on a 30-foot bamboo raft.

Once aboard your raft, you will begin a smooth ride down the river. Here, you can take advantage and photograph the beautiful Dominican countryside; take in the sounds and beauty that nature has to offer while enjoying this once in a lifetime experience.

Once your river journey has come to an end, you will depart your raft where you will have a few minutes to explore before boarding your van for the 10-minute drive to the world-famous Cabarete Beach.

Located on Camino Cinco, Cabarete Beach has hosted many kitesurfing competitions and other professional water sports. While at the beach, take advantage and grab a bite to eat at one of the local seaside cafes, sit back and relax with a beer or two, or sit on the sand and observe the many colorful kites above the turquoise water (food and beverage at an additional cost).

At approximately 3:45 pm you will say "until next time," as your guide drives you back to the cruise center accompanied by traditional music and a complimentary rum punch to round out this amazing and memorable day.
