An Island 4x4 Safari
An Island 4x4 Safari
Enjoy a rugged safari around the island of Ko Samui in a 4x4 vehicle. On this excursion, you'll experience a range of experiences. Enjoy the excitement of a zip line ride through a natural tree canopy. Your journey will take you to the breathtaking Na Muang Waterfalls for a refreshing dip in the water at its base. Continuing, your venture will take in a revered Buddhist site to view the mummified monk, Luang Pho Daeng. Lunch is included, and afterward, your 4x4 safari will provide a chance to see stunning views that would make great photos.
After meeting your guide, proceed to explore a tropical paradise. You will be brought to an amusing monkey show. Watch these small primates in action as they scurry up palm trees and pick coconuts with ease and dexterity. There are more predatory creatures on Ko Samui, and you'll be treated to a show that features trainers seemingly playing with crocodiles. This is something that only a professional should attempt.
There is also the possibility to ride the Sky Fox, an exciting zip line in which you could imagine that you are a bird gliding along the jungle canopy. It is truly an exhilarating feat.
For a bit of respite, you will be taken to the Na Muang Waterfalls to explore, take photos, or jump into the water for a swim. Set in lush tropical surroundings, the Na Muang Waterfalls, also called the Purple Waterfalls due to the rock faces, will leave you feeling refreshed and renewed.
For those who are fascinated by spirituality, the safari continues to the Wat Khunaram to see one of Buddhism's most revered monks, who happens to have died in 1973 while meditating. Known as the Mummy Monk, the preserved body of Luang Pho Daeng is on display in a glass casket, appearing like he is still in meditation. Some may find this disturbing, but to many Thai people, the monk's body is worshiped and venerated with flowers and incense.
You will take a needed break to enjoy lunch before continuing on your 4x4 safari to see some of Ko Samui's most visually stunning viewpoints. This is a great time to snap your photos of this island of natural beauty.
Your tour will end upon returning to your original meeting point before departing for your ship, but not without a feeling that you somehow belong in Ko Samui.
