Fun walking tour
Kenny our guide was very informed and shared much about the downtown area of Puerto Plata. He was always willing to answer questions and take photos for us. He shared much of the history of the area. The food at the end was very good.

Great small group excursion
Had a great time on our excursion from Shore Excursions. The pickup went exactly as explained. We were in a van that probably held 12-14 people but our group of 4 had the entire van to ourselves. Small group tours are so much nicer that the 40-50 passenger larger buses. We got to our stops before the big crowds. In one of our stops in the city we went to a local chocolate shop and got samples and talked with the workers. There was only us and 3-4 others in the store. As we were leaving a big tour group came and filled the store to a point where you could hardly move. So glad we were in a small group. Our driver and guide took us around and was very informative with details and history of the area. Then went for a drive in the countryside and a stop for lunch at an Adventure Park. Had a very nice lunch and a guided walk through the nature area. Overall a very enjoyable day. Highly recommended.

I would do it again!
The hike to the bus and back to the port was a bit more than I bargained for. The actual tour was fantastic! The guide (I want to say his name was Rodney, but I'm not certain) was very informative and witty. Having our own personal paparazzi(Benjamin Franklin) was a very nice added bonus. The authentic lunch was awesome! There were several unexpected moments that were quite refreshing. I highly recommend this tour. You won't be disappointed. Just be ready for the hike to the highway which really wasn't that bad just unexpected,

This was a fantastic adventure! After visiting the town we went to an animal farm and had a wonderful tour, with some lunch and great exposure to the culture. I even bought some stuff.
