Akrotiri Ruins, Red Beach and Wine Tasting

Begin your historical adventure with the breathtaking views at the Prophet Elias Monastery. Prophet Elias is the highest point of Santorini and is located at the Southwest part of the island, 3km (1.9 miles) away from the village of Pyrgos.
After enjoying the views of the Prophet Elias, head on over to Megalochori village, an incredibly charming traditional settlement, almost abandoned after the big earthquake. This village is home to historic mansions, old traditional houses, and pirate hideaways; it has a history of merchants and wealthy land barons exporting Vinsanto wine, which the island still produces.
After you experienced some of the most phenomenal views, head over to the Akrotiri Archaeological Site, here, you will discover one of the most significant archaeological ruins of the Bronze Age's most sophisticated settlements, which prospered for centuries before being eradicated by a tremendous volcanic eruption.
After enjoying some historical facts, you will have free time at Red Beach, arguably the most famous beach in the southernmost part of Santorini. Here, you can enjoy the scenery of colorfully formed mountains, the black and red pulverized volcanic rock sand, and clear waters.
From there, visit Akrotiri Bay for coffee or lunch with Greek traditional mezedes and ouzo (not included in the price).
Lastly, stop at one of the most famous wineries of Santorini, for a wine-tasting experience to end one of the most memorable experiences of your life.
Please Note: The Akrotiri excavation site entrance fee (12 EUR) is not included.
