Southern Japan is steeped in cultural centers. Here, your guide will escort you through Fukuoka and Dazaifu by foot and train. Visit the Tochoji Temple, featuring Japan's largest wooden sitting Buddha, before reaching the Hakata Machiya Folk museum and the Kushida Shrine. Next, you'll board a train to Komyozenji Temple in Dazaifu, before reaching the Canal City shopping complex.

Beginning with a visit to the Tochoji Temple, Japan's first Zen temple, your English-speaking guide will present the giant sitting wooden Buddha in the grand hall. Next, they will escort you to the quaint Hakata Machiya Folk Museum, fostering a clear picture of the customs and crafts used 1,000 years ago.

Thereafter, you'll board a train heading to Dazaifu, which was an important government outpost during the 11th-century. Note the Kushida Shrine, the launching point for the famous Gion Yamakasa festival each July. Next, you'll visit the Komyozenji Temple, featuring an astounding complex with Japanese-style gardens and architecture.

Finally, you'll reach festive Canal City, renowned for its shopping and dining options. Reserve this cultural Asian adventure promptly.
