Dunn's River Falls, just outside of Ocho Rios, is a spectacular waterfall about 600 feet above sea level and one of the island's most popular natural attractions. Upon arrival you will test your balance as you climb up the falls' terraced-like stairs while the cool, clear waters rush around your feet!
You can choose to use the trained guides who will assist you in your journey up, or you can navigate the falls on your own. There are plenty of small, refreshing lagoons along the way to stop for swim breaks, take Insta-worthy photos, or just rest and soak in the lush rainforest surroundings. Stairs are available alongside the waterfall for those guests who want to see the falls but are unable to navigate the rocky terrain.
Continue on the White River where you will enjoy an approximately 45 to 60 minute raft journey as you are escorted down the river on a 30-foot raft by your licensed Raft Captain who will gently glide you downstream. The raft is crafted out of bamboo, a sturdy, tropical plant in the reed family. This raft carries 2 passengers (Raft Captain included) at a time, so it is a nice, peaceful way to unwind from the excitement and crowds at the falls.
Your Captain may regale you with local lore and information about flora and fauna of the area. As you relax on your raft with your raft captain you will hear birds chirping, feeling the island breeze in between your toes, the Jamaican sun illuminating your skin, while also hearing Reggae music playing in the distance as you travel on the river.
When the river is dam, your raft captain will take you up the river to the midway point and then down pass the starting point to the Ocean before going back to the point where you started your rafting adventure.
