Casablanca and Coast Line (Pre Cruise)
After meeting your local representative from either the Santiago airport or a central city hotel, grab your camera and make a day out of traveling the Chilean coast and into the wine valley region. This full-day Chile tour will take you along the country's coastal towns and give you the opportunity for some amazing photographs. The beautiful landscapes you're about to witness in the wine region will make you think twice about ever wanting to leave them behind; you won't find anything like them anywhere else in the world.
Drive from Santiago in comfort on a scenic ride that takes you first to the Casablanca Valley, a renowned wine growing region. The valley's cool climate makes it the ideal environment for vineyards.
Enjoy a wine tasting while here at 1 of the 3 wineries in Casablanca valley: Veramonte, Emiliana or Bodegas RE. Situated on the coastal plain between Santiago and Valparaiso, the valley is relatively new to the wine industry. Casablanca Valley boasts many cellars with boutique wineries. The region has gained recognition in particular for the white wine production as well as stunning reds.
Continue on a panoramic tour of the coast line between Algarrobo where you will stop to see the largest swimming pool on earth, "San Alfonso del Mar", and take a walk around a wetland. Before arriving at the cruise port in San Antonio, enjoy lunch at "Puerto Tanino," a delightful restaurant perched 100 feet above the marina. Enjoy stunning views and delicious food. Lunch features a welcome drink, two starter options, two main course options, and one drink to accompany your meal (choose from mineral water, soft drink, beer, or a glass of wine).
Next, your drive takes you through sea side towns such as El Tabo, El Quisco, Isla Negra, San Sebastian, Cartagena and San Antonio. However, if time doesn't permit, we'll opt for a parallel highway route atop the hills, leading directly to DPW (Port in San Antonio). If the cruise ship's departure time changes, we'll adjust accordingly and ensure guests are taken to the embarking area at least 1 hour prior to the ships departure.
